Course Description:

This course will provide an overview of the major legal traditions in the world and examine the various criminal justice systems across the world. With the goal of helping students develop the ability to examine, analyze, and compare the criminal justice systems in the U.S. with those of other nations, the course will examine the fundamental philosophies of law and justice, seminal case law, as well as culturally-specific methods of crime prevention and law enforcement throughout the world.
