CMT4140 Community Service Administration

This course is designed to provide a basic overview of community service administration in our American system of government. The course will examine the foundations, organization, financing, staffing, and management of community service organizations. Emphasis will be placed on strategic planning and the control of operations.

Community service organizations are not businesses, but they do conduct business affairs. Leaders and managers of these organizations must learn to balance these facets of their organization in order for its operations to be effective and meet community needs and the goals of the organization.
