DEM3000 Intro to Demographic Analysis

Course Description:

An introductory course to demographic data which will explore source of data, collection of data , and subsequent evaluation. It will utilize publically available data to examine population characteristics and common health status measures (crude birth rate, infant mortality rates, fertility rate, mortality rate etc.)

How This Course Benefits Students:

As missional leaders working in mission efforts, student need to know how to assess or collect demographic data and use this information to understand how static and dynamic population characteristics influence behaviors (health, and social) and outcomes.

Missional leaders need to have a good understanding of their population being served in order to provide essential spiritual needs
