Course Description:

This course will build on previous lessons in DEM 3000 and will be intended for graduate students. It will explore sources of demographic data, collection, and evaluation. It will utilize publically available data to examine population characteristics and common health status measures (crude birth rate, infant mortality rates, fertility rate, mortality rate etc.)

How This Course Benefits Students:

As missional leaders working in mission efforts, students need to know how to assess or collect demographic data and use this information at a more complex level in order to understand how static and dynamic population characteristics influence behaviors (health, spiritual, and social) and outcomes

Why This Course Is Important:

missional leaders need to have a more detailed understanding of their population is being served in order to provide more specific and essential spiritual needs
