ENS3200 Ecomissiology and Environmental Mission
Educational Level: Upper undergraduate, Bachelor
Credit Hours: 3 Credits
Instructor: Dr. Mick Pope
Ecomissiology sees the mission of the church in terms of reconciliation at all levels, i.e. environmental care is fundamental to disciple making and discipleship. In this course, students will compare and contrast different ideas of ecomission and analyse how the church can engage in environmental mission.
How This Course Benefits Students:
In order to engage in mission in the context of rapid environmental change, students need a biblical theological framework for ecomission, as well as an understanding of environemental issues. This course will allow students to read the bible in a ecologically sensitive manner and apply what they have learned to mission.
Why This Course Is Important:
Our world is undergoing rapid change at human hands. The church needs to repent and equip itself for holistic mission.
