This course examines important aspects of theory, research, and practice that relates to diagnosis and treatment. Students will develop diagnostic skills using the DSM-5 to provide proper care to clients with mental health issues. The course will also emphasize the important of providing sensitivity to cultural and ethnic issues.

In todays world, we are surrounded by life stressors that can increase a persons anxiety and depression. In some cases, we see severe mental illnesses that include hallucinations and delusions. The Mental Health Diagnosis and Treatment course is important to learn not only how to identify mental illness, but also how to diagnosis and treat mental illness through Gods word.
