PSY6210 Mental Health Practice and Improvement

Advanced essentials for mental health practice, recovery, and improvement are covered. The course will examine the professional practice of mental health care, community mental health models, strategies, and interventions that providers use in order to assess the needs and help individuals prevent relapse and maintain recovery.
How This Course Benefits Students:
Students will demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of concepts of individual empowerment, assessment needs, consumer participation, and collaboration practices. A critical analysis of various practices of mental health treatment and recovery will be covered.
Why This Course Is Important:
The course will provide students with the necessary interventions and strategies that will assist their efforts in confronting mental illness. The students will learn the effectiveness of working with the Holy Spirit and other professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to lead towards mental health recovery.
