Presented in this course will be an overview of fundamental marketing concepts and practices as applied to sport and recreation organizations. Areas of focus will include public relations and communication, promotions, sponsorship, and producing a marketing plan.
How This Course Benefits Students:
After completing this course, students should understand the basic components of sports marketing, appreciate its impact, understand the role of media, and know how to market sport as well as use sport to market other products.

Sport and recreation are ubiquitous, which offers the believer a great many opportunities to serve. However, the abundance and variety of programs necessitates that we be able to attract participants and sponsors to our program and activities when they could choose from many others. Sport marketing principles and practices will enable us to better reach those people we desire to impact.
